Key Responsibilities:

? Gather Market Intelligence, identify major categories, analyze current spend & develop an optimal Direct Strategy Plan.
? Technical understanding for development of supply roadmap identifying key commodities (e.g. cathode, anode, separator, foils, electrolyte, binder, Structural parts) and supply risk factors (e.g. Risk assessment capacity, etc.).
? Sourcing and purchasing of materials, in line with specified cost, quality, and delivery targets.
? Build and maintain strong connections with research and development team to identify strategies and to develop suppliers both locally and globally.
? Lead strategic proactive tenders (RFI/RFQ), negotiations, supplier selections for approved & new Direct suppliers.
? Support Sourcing director on team management specifically focused on cost and supply information tracking for key activities.
? Research and evaluate areas of opportunity and reduce costs where possible.
? Develop ideas and strategies to improve operational efficiency, add value, aid business performance, and work towards a strategy of continuous improvement.
? Assess and evaluate suppliers and undertake performance reviews driving improvement activities.
? Support PMC team to ensure maximize supply improvements and avoid production delays.

Person Specifications:
? At least 5 years purchasing experiences in manufacturing field, including at least 3 years experiences in supplier engagement, negotiation and cost reduction.
? Familiar with English hearing, speaking, reading and writing skills, master Cantonese is prioritized.
? Proven purchasing experience, preferably within a lithium-ion battery manufacturing environment.
? Strong interpersonal skills with a vision for success, the ability to take responsibility and strong negotiation experience.
? Excellent communication skills are crucial to this role, as is the ability to build relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
? Effective analytical skills to evaluate trends and deliver proactive solutions.
? Commercially and operationally astute who is financially aware.
? A strong understanding of purchasing best practice within the supply chain with Proven track record of achieving targets in a competitive fast paced industry.
? Strong leader to influence, be able to work to tight deadlines, have a good sense of priority and to have previous negotiation experience.
? Strong industry awareness, can assess the capability of existing and new supplier through supply market researching, to further decrease the cost and strengthen the reasonability of supplying.
